The Stayers Chase Triple Crown is a Betfair initiative started in 2005 called 'Betfair Million' to award a £ 1 million reward for every horse that wins in the same season as Betfair Chase at Haydock on the moon November, King George VI Chase at Kempton on Boxing Day and Cheltenham Gold Cup at the Cheltenham Festival. In the following season he underwent several changes that included Lexus Chase as an alternative to King George VI Chase or winning the Grand National while being placed in the top two positions in every race at the Cheltenham Festival.
A £ 1million bonus for the triple crown was eventually canceled by Betfair in 2010 only to be reintroduced in 2015 by the Jockey Club following the same race format from the premier division of the stay:
- Betfair Chase
- King George VI Chase
- Gold Cup
In the past legendary surviving hunters such as Arkle, Desert Orchid, and Best Mate have won King George VI Chase at Kempton Park and Cheltenham Gold Cup in the same season, but they have never had the chance to complete a modern treble today. Betfair Chase was inaugurated in 2005. Only in 2006/2007 Kauto Star successfully completed the achievement and became the first to win a £ 1 million bonus.
