Chase Park Royal Sonesta St. Louis is a historic hotel complex and apartment located at 212 N. Kingshighway Boulevard in Central West End, St. Louis. Louis, Missouri, USA. It consists of two buildings - the Chase Hotel, built in 1922 by developer Chase Ullman, and the Park Plaza-style Art Deco tower, built in 1929 and today's residential condominiums. The complex also has a cinema and several restaurants and bars.

History
The hotel was replaced near Buckingham Hotel as the most luxurious hotel in town. From 1990 to 2001, Chase's wings were closed. The Park Plaza remains open. Chase Park Plaza is part of the National Historic for Historic Preservation's Historic Hotels of America program.
The hotel joins the Sonesta hotel chain on May 18, 2017.
Jackie Robinson and desegregation
Jackie Robinson is the second Major League Baseball (MLB) baseman who became the first African American to play in the premier league in the modern era. Robinson broke the baseball color line when Brooklyn Dodgers started him in first base on April 15, 1947.
In 1953, Robinson publicly criticized the separate hotels and restaurants that served the Dodger organization. A number of these companies are integrated as a result, including the five star Chase Park Hotel in St. Petersburg. Louis.
Wrestling in Chase
Chase is also known as the wrestler of the wrestling program Wrestling at the Chase (1959-1983), produced and broadcasted by the channel KPLR-TV 11, which operates in the hotel and adjacent Chase Apartments, all owned by Harold Koplar. Many famous wrestlers, including the original St. Louis, Lou Thesz, and Buddy Rogers wrestled with the program.
