Jason William Dohring (born March 30, 1982) is an American actor best known for his role as Logan Echolls on television show Veronica Mars (2004-2007) and the continuation of his next film and role as Josef Kostan at Moonlight (2007), Adam Carpenter on Ringer (2011), Detective Will Kinney on The Originals (2013) and Chase Graves on iZombie (2015).

Personal life
Dohring is the son of Laurie and Doug Dohring, owner of a marketing research firm, Dohring Company. He and his wife Lauren Kutner on July 7, 2004, had a son named Owen Riley Dohring. It was announced by Dohring on November 12, 2012 that the couple had just greeted another child, a girl named Lilly. Dohring is a Scientologist and has praised Scientology for saving his career in the entertainment industry.
Career
Dohring appeared as the main character of Logan Echolls on Veronica Mars between 2004 and 2007. After his cancellation, Dohring found a job with Warner Bros.. and CBS, co-starred in the television series Moonlight . He plays vampire Josef Kostan, a mischievous 400-year-old hedge-fund trader.
In October 2008, it was announced that Jason would be returning to TV as Spencer, a senior legislative assistant, in the WashingtonHien's HBO comedy series .
On February 10, 2010 in an interview he stated that he would voice the characters in a Disney video game released in Japan last January; the game is downgraded to Square-Enix/Disney's Kingdom Hearts Birth by Sleep, and the character is Terra. She took a role in a cameo appearance in Kingdom Hearts 3D: Dream Drop Distance .
In May 2010, Dohring began working on Andrew Disney's feature film, Finding Sonny, produced by Red Productions. Jason will play the role of Elliot Knight.
In 2011, Dohring appeared on The CW Ringer series, starring Sarah Michelle Gellar.
In 2012, Dohring made a guest appearance on the Supernatural TV show as Chronos time god.
In April 2013, it was announced that Dohring had been instrumental in the film Veronica Mars. He also plays a role in Cw's science fiction drama The Tomorrow People in a potentially recurring role.
In 2015-2016, Dohring has a recurring role in The CW The Originals series as Detective Will Kinney.
In October 2016, Dohring played a recurring role as Chase Graves at The CW's iZombie.
