Plot

"Mulva"

Unable to remember the name of the woman he was dating (played by Susan Walters), Jerry tried to solve the mystery, because it would be too awkward to remember the time they spent together to just ask him. Given the clue that his name rhymes with the female anatomy section, Jerry and George find possible candidates: Aretha (for urethra), Celeste and Hest (for breasts), and Bovary (for ovaries), and finally George suggests Mulva (for the vulva). The payoff for the joke comes at the end of the episode when she presses him to say his name. Jerry guessed Mulva, causing him to storm out of Jerry's apartment. When he leaves, Jerry mistakenly guesses another name, Gipple (for nipples) and Loreola (for areola). Then, in a flash of insight, Jerry ran to the window and shouted "Dolores!" (Rhyming with a common pronunciation of the clitoris). Characters back in season 8 "The Foundation". In the next episode, George and Jerry call Dolores as Mulva among themselves.

Fat Artist and Mint Incident

Meanwhile, Elaine goes to visit her ex-boyfriend Roy (played by Sherman Howard) - an artist she throws out because she is fat - at the hospital. Realizing that she had become thin (due to depression by breaking up with her), Elaine became interested in dating her again. Kramer and Jerry observe the artist's splenectomy in the hospital's surgery room and accidentally drop Mint Junior from the spectacle gallery into the patient's body (actually, York Peppermint Pattie is used to record this scene because Junior Mint is too small for the camera). When George hears that Roy is in bad shape (after he develops an infection), he decides to spend $ 1900 (which he collects in interest from a bank account of the sixth grade) to buy some of Roy's art, thinking it will value his value. when Roy died. Roy's condition suddenly turned and he recovered. Although Roy attributed the change to George to buy his art, doctors attributed the limited effect of the infection to "something from above." (This marks the second time George regretted his decision to buy artwork first appeared on "The Letter", when he bought art from Jerry's girlfriend for $ 500.) The triangle art George bought in this episode can be seen on the shelves in her apartment in many of the next episodes. When Kramer offers Mint Junior doctors, Elaine decides to cancel her date with Roy, whom she observes eating more enthusiastically in her hospital room after surgery.

Production

According to "Inside Look" from the DVD, the authors had trouble finding a name for Jerry's boyfriend, originally settled on "Cloris". While filming the episode, a comedian will heat studio audiences between shooting scenes and, as an exercise, ask the audience to guess the name of Jerry's boyfriend; one member of the audience guessed Dolores, who were considered more suitable than their first choice. Jerry Seinfeld agreed on time to add it to the script and the scene was taken with the character's name. After that, the producer for the show was amused to hear opinions from members of her husband's audience, "You guessed right!"

Jerry's line of Roy, "Then we can go watch them slicing this fat bastard", not in the original script; it was improvised by Jerry, and saved in the last episode.
