St Ives Chase is a forest suburb on the Upper North Shore of Sydney in the state of New South Wales, Australia. St Ives Chase is 18 kilometers northwest of Sydney's Central Business District in the local government district of Ku-ring-gai Council. St Ives is a more developed suburb and St Ives Chase covers the area north of Toolang Road and west of Collins Road. The northern rim of North Turramurra is separated by a section of the Chase-Ku-ring-gai National Park. This is a separate suburb of St Ives, which lies to the south.

Transport

Through the road, St Ives Chase is only accessible via St Ives. Warrimoo Avenue is the main road used to access the streets of St Ives Chase. Many properties sit very close to the bushes. Since St Ives Chase has no traffic, there is rarely any traffic delays in the suburbs. Locals driving from St Ives Chase will first face a rush hour traffic trying to join or cross Killeaton Street or Mona Vale Road in St Ives. The general route to the city is via East Eastern Arterial Road North Shore.

Buses to St Ives Chase include Forest Coach Lines route 195 to/from Gordon railway station and route 194/594 from St Ives via St Ives Chase to the city. North Turramurra and Bobbin Head are accessible via bush tracks in the National Park.

Commercial zone

St Ives Chase is almost entirely categorized for housing or recreational facilities. The suburbs have a small shopping complex of 5 stores that include a seven-day corner shop, liquor store, chemist, Pizza restaurant, and hairdresser. The adjacent Caltex petrol station is the only other commercial outlet in the area.

At the 2011 census, St Ives Chase recorded a population of 3,087. This:

Wildlife

Located in a national park, St Ives Chase is home to a wide variety of flora and fauna, most notably the common is turkey brush. In recent years there has been a rabbit problem in the area, and there are many attempts to eradicate rabbits on the side of St Ives Chase in the National Park.

Sports and clubs

There are two sports fields in the area, Warrimoo Oval, which is home to St Ives Football Club, and Oval Toolang, which hosts junior football and cricket matches.

Also located near St Ives Chase near Warrimoo Oval is the North St Ives Scout Club which is a club for children and teens run by family volunteers.
