Plus System, Inc. (also known as Visa Plus or just Plus ) is a Denver-based ATM network that provides cash to Visa card holders. As a subsidiary of Visa Inc., Plus System connects all Visa credit, debit, and prepaid cards, as well as ATM cards issued by various banks around the world with Visa logo.

Plus System started as a consortium formed by 34 major US banks to build a national network of ATM machines (ATMs). Originally consisting of 2,000 ATMs connecting 1,000 banks and their customers in 47 states. As the rapidly expanding ATM industry penetrated the regional network and began operating nationwide in the mid-1980s, Visa's giant credit cards sought entry into the lucrative ATM network business and gained one-third of the Plus System in 1987. Currently, there is more than one million Plus - Links that are linked in 170 countries around the world.

Additional cards can be linked in the following ways: as a stand-alone network, connected to a local inter-bank network or connected to a Visa product that displays Visa flags on the front (Visa, Visa Debit and Visa Electron). Currently, there are 144 million proprietary Plus cards, excluding some cards that have Plus as a secondary network.

Plus is widely used as the most common local interbank network in the United States where networks such as STAR, NYCE and Pulse are also competing. It is also used in Canada, although significantly smaller than Interac there, and in places like India and Indonesia where there are many interbank networks. The main competitor of System Plus is the Cirrus network, owned by old Visa MasterCard rivals.
