Authorization suspension (also card authorization , pre-authorization , or praauth ) is a practice in the banking industry for electronic verification transactions beginning with a debit or credit card and this balance rendering is not available until the merchant clears the transaction, also called the settlement, or the "falling" hold.

Process

Double hold
